They also went to South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore and the Passion Play. Dave and Janet Reber and two sons of St. George are spending a few days with Janet's parents, Norman and Donna Merrell. Vergie Gee went to Orem Wednesday to visit her daughter and son-in-law, Leri Dawn and Charlie Smith. She also attended the Salt Lake Temple marriage of Karin Smith and Mark Hicks on Thursday and the reception held that evening in Bountiful. Wade and Ronda Olsen and children chil-dren spent the weekend in Beaver with Ronda's parents, the Fred Harris family. Lanny and Joy Kay spent the Labor Day weekend in Salt Lake City with Paul and Leslie Kay. Heber and Vera Harrison attended the wedding of their grandson, Rodney Harrison and Karalee Davis in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Sept. 7. They also attended the reception re-ception given by the bride's parents at their home in Kaysville that same evening. Rodney is the son of Gerald and Linda Harrison. Brad Haslem went to Provo on labor la-bor Day where he is attending BYU this fall. His parents, Norman and Jan Haslem, helped him move out John and Janel Kay and family went to Salt Lake City last Saturday where they visited with Kevin and Robyn Martin and with Paul and Leslie Kay. Toni Reynolds went to American Fork Sunday afternoon to assist at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Sandi Reynolds. Sandi underwent surgery on her knee the latter part of bst week. Visiting briefly at the Vcrgic Gee home last Tuesday afternoon were Marguerite Kidd and Viola Wood, both of Ogdcn. Wilde of Manila, became the bride of Mike Berdette Asay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Asay of Manila, in a double ring ceremony at the Pine Grove near McKinnon, Wyo. at 5p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1. The wedding march was played by Lisa Schofield. Bishop Duane Beck of the McKinnon LDS Ward performed per-formed the ceremony. The bride's gown was made of white satin with lace that rimmed the neck and bodice. Her puffed sleeves ended in slender points. Rosettes, blossoms and beading framed the bridal veil. The bride's bouquet consisted of white beads, pink rose buds, white roses and pink and burgundy ribbon. The groom wore a black tuxedo with tails. On his lapel were burgundy and pink rosebuds. Jennifer Wilde, the bride's sister, was the maid of honor. She wore a mauve, tea-length dress trimmed with ribbon and bows. She carried a white parasol decorated with pink and burgundy ribbon. The handle was trimmed with pink and rosebuds. Spencer Eyre was the groom's best man. He wore a black tuxedo with a pink rosebud in his lapel. The bridesmaids were Amy Kitchell, Linda Wilde, Diana Asay and Amanda Asay. All of them wore burgundy tea-length dresses and carried white parasols with ribbon rib-bon and rosebuds. The ushers were Jim Schell, Code Wright, Dcnnie Hughs and Qucntin Wilde. They all wore black tuxedos with pink rosebuds rose-buds in their lapels. Jessica Asay and Brandi Anderson were the flower flow-er girls. They were dressed in long, pink lace dresses. Their hair was adorned with a pink flower halo. The bride's mother and the groom's mother wore hot pink dresses with corsages made with pink and burgundy rosebuds with white beads. Mari Schofield sat at the guest table and Dawn Slagowski and Deb Bergmeier was at the gift table. The couple's three layered wedding cake was decorated decorat-ed with burgundy roses and pink rosebuds. Servers were Lesa Schofield, Mindi Schofield, Brynne Slagowski, Toni Palleson and Jessica Asay. Cold cuts and salads were served. The centerpiece was made with pink and burgundy with small white parasols. Three hundred guests attended. The bride is a 1990 graduate of Manila High School. The groom is a graduate of Mountain View High School in Mountain View, Wyo. He is presently present-ly employed by Stauffer's. They plan to make their home in Manila following the honeymoon. The Yachting Club held its annual Commodore Ball on Sunday, Sept 7, near the Flaming Gorge Reservoir. At the Ball, several plaques were presented to the first place winners in the different divisions divi-sions in the Parade of Lights held Aug. 18. The following participants received plaques: The Cliffords, Mr. Garrett, The Bybees and Driscolls. New officers were elected as follows: fol-lows: Commodore Gary Famsworth; Vice Commodore Jerry Bruggeman; Prot Captain-Fred Captain-Fred Curtis; Secretary Lola Famsworth; Treasurer Nan Occhipinti. New members of the Board of Directors include: Bill Smith, Fred Wix, Brice Holland, Patty Bussart, George Vanny and John Forrester. Food, visiting and dancing was enjoyed. The area Aging Board held a meeting and a picnic at the Palisade Picnic Area on Sheep Creek on Tuesday, August 28 at 11 a.m. The location had been designated as the Navajo Cliffs but was changed. A service available in Roosevelt and Duchesne is the Widow or Widower's Companion Service. This service is for people who have recently lost their companion. Manila hopes to add itself to the services. The girls' volleyball team from Rich High School will play at Manila on Sept. 13. Games begin at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. The Daggett School Board will meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept 12.
