Show START CONSTRUCTION OF INTERURBAN LINE Provo, A large force of men and teams has started work to construct the grade for the Utah Railway company's com-pany's track a distance of ten miles up Spanish Fork canyon. The final surveys sur-veys have been made, and instead of running south of Thistle and up Huntington Hun-tington canyon the company will con -tinue to the east and north of the Denver Den-ver & Rio Grande tracks to Mill Fork, at which point it will cross toward the Price and Emery county coal fields. According . to the engineers, the grade will be a heavy one, and at Thistle the company will bore a tunnel for over 500 feet through the mountains. moun-tains. This will be the longest tunnel on the line. The right of way committee is still at work on the' Mapleton bench and other points along the line. The members mem-bers report conditions favorable for securing the necessary ground. As soon as this is secured, grading contracts con-tracts will oe let extending the road as far as Springville. I |
