Show ifounty QjJ ORANGEVILLE Mrs. Wm. Johnson gave birth to an 11-lb. baby girl on the 21st. Mother and babe are doing well, and the father's happy as a lark. Mrs. John S. Curtis presented her husband with a fine son on the 22nd and all concerned are getting along very nicely. Mrs. Celia Reid is very sick. Mr. Geo. Fullmer goes to Green River where the Fulmer brothers have a contract on a canal. A good many teams are engaged from several towns through the county. Dave Tuttle came very near losing his life and that of his teams at Black Hawk recently. He was on the track unloading gravel when the train approached. ap-proached. Before he could get his outfit off the track the train struck the wagon and splintered it into kindling kind-ling wood. He and the horses were unharmed. The company ;is going to replace the wagon which was a new one. He made a short visit home this week and took back a load of oats. John Cox hps gone to Salina to help drive a bunch of -beef cattle for Mr. Christensen who has been buying them in Emery County. Mrs. Jean Cox now of Oregon, has returned home after having spent several weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Reid. Mrs. Nell Tuttle entertained Monday in honor of her sister, Mrs. Stewart, who returned to her home in Provo Tuesday. Mr. E. M. Cox, Mrs. Mary Tuttle, and Mrs. Celia Thayne are having cisterns installed at their homes. They are being furnished with a thoroughly up to date cover. Mr. Charles Jensen has the work in charge, we are told. While getting out of the buggy at Castledale Tuesday, Mrs. Melissa Jewkes fell and hurt her back very badly. Her foot slipped from the step, which caused the fall. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Reid have gone to Salt Lake to the teachers convention. conven-tion.
