Show South East Area Students Named On U of U Committees At least seven Sugar House area students this week were appointed to University of Utah student-faculty councils and committees administering ad-ministering student affairs and activities at the U. Appointments announced Tuesday Tues-day by the Associated Students Council included: Carl Taylor Burton, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Taylor Burton, 1812 Millbrook Rd., to the University Music Council. A sophomore majoring ma-joring in English in the College of Education, Carl is a 1955 graduate grad-uate of Olympus High School. James LeKoy Clayton, son oi Mr. and Mrs. Ernest C. Clayton, 3118 Connor St., to the Student Loans Committee. Jim is a law student, and a justice in the Student Stu-dent Court. He is a 1949 graduate of Granite High School. Carole Cook, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Cook, 3119-2850 East, to the Debate Council. A sophomore majoring in education, Carole is a member of the university univer-sity debate squad. She is a 1955 graduate of Olympus High School. Milicent Joanne Holbrook, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett L. Holbrook, 3619-2110 East, to the Bookstore Advisory Board. A sophomore majoring in elementary education, Milicent is a 1955 graduate grad-uate of Olympus High School. She served on the U. Days and homecoming home-coming committees and the freshman fresh-man handbook staff. She is a member mem-ber of Spurs. Levi Ridd Larson, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. V. Larson, 1835 Lincoln Ln., to the Calendar arid Registration Regis-tration Committee. Ridd is a 1953 graduate of Granite High School. A political science major and a senior, he is active in the campus Young Republicans. Luana June Love, daughter of Mrs. June R. Love, 2135-22nd East, to the Student Loans Comf ittee. A senior, Luana is president of Pi Beta Phi and a member of Mortar Board. She is a 1953 graduate of East High School. Barry George Quinn, son of Mr. and Mrs. William T. Quinn, 2512 Haven Lane, to the Library Committee. Com-mittee. A 1953 graduate of Granite High School, Barry is a senior majoring in experimental biology. |
