Show ?A I . S-' Torleif S. Knaphus, unveiled the bust of the late President Heber J. Grant at impressive open house ceremonies Sunday. Thousand Attend Sons of Utah Pioneer's Unveiling Ceremony of Heber J. Grant Horace A. Sorensen, President of the National Society of the Sons of Utah Pioneers, estimated there were more than 2,000 persons present pres-ent for the ceremony and the open house at the Pioneer Village Sunday. Sun-day. The occasion marked the addition addi-tion of the Heber J. Grant collection collec-tion to the Village. A short and inspiring program contributed to the presentation by Grant family of the personal effects ef-fects of the late President Grant. Highlighting the program was the unveiling of a bust of the prominent prom-inent church leader by Torleif S. Knaphus, noted sculptor, who was commissioned by the Sons of Utah Pioneers to sculptor it. Many prominent church and civic leaders were among the guests attending at-tending the open house. |
