Show Luncheon Is Given in Honor of Bride MISS MARION WHITNEY, a June bride, was the gueyt of honor at a luncheon given yesterday afternoon after-noon by Mrs. Kenneth Purdy at the home of her slater, Mrs. II. G. Brockman, 241 East South Temple street. A color scheme of lavender and blue was carried out in tlio decorations. Lavender sweet peas in a basket were tied with pale blue maline. The favors were candy boutonnieres. Covers were laid for the following guests, besides the- guent of honor: Mrs. Herman Wells, Mrs. Wendell Hmoot, Miss Km her Badger, Mips Helen Welis, Mrs. Rex Williams, Miss Lillian Wells, Mts Rosemarie Voting, Mrs. Gilbert Williams and Mrs. Lauren Glhbs. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Williams will entertain enter-tain at dinner this evening in honor of Miss Whi: ney and her fiance, George Harold Felt. In the Salt Lake temple at noon yesterday yes-terday Miss Louise Capson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Capson of East Mill Creek, was married to George L. Woodbury Wood-bury of 236 Orchard place. Salt Lake. The couple will make their home in Vernal, Ver-nal, where Mr. Woodbury is connected with a bank. McCrea, entertained a party ! of little friends at Liberty park yester- day afternoon from 4 until 6 o'clock in ! honor of her sixth birthday. Games were enjoyed and tea was served at o:30 o'clock. A birthday cake was in the center of the tea table. Six pink tapers arose from snowy frosting, so alluring to little folks. Large pink tapers, placed in crystal holders, were at the end of the table. Lyman entertained at a Kensington anl tea yesterday afternoon at her home, 319 L street, in honor of Miss Mary Robbins, a bride of the summer. sum-mer. The hostess was assisted by her daughter, Mrs. K. W. Wayman. Pink roses in a crystal bowl formed a centerpiece for the tea table. White peonies and dark red snapdragons were used in the living room. The guests numbered eighteen. Miss Rhoda Bruneau was hostess at a dancing party last night at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Bruneau, Bru-neau, on Thirteenth East street, in honor of the graduating class of St. Mary's academy, of which she is valedictorian. The class colors, rose and silver, were carried out in the house decorations. June roses in a silver basket formed the centerpiece for the supper table. Punch was served during the evening, followed by a late supper. The hostess was assisted by her mother and also by Mrs. P. J. O'Carroll and Miss i Ethel Bixby. After a short wedding trip through southern Utah the couple will be at home at Panguitch. A silver tea was given yesterday afternoon after-noon at the home of Mrs. F. L. Parker on East South Temple street for the benefit of the First Congregational church. A basket of pink roses was the centerpiece center-piece for the tea table, with a white maline ma-line bow on the handle. Syringa was used with roses in"- the living room. The guests were received by Mrs. Parker and Mrs. J. B. Mcintosh." Presiding Pre-siding at the lea table were Mrs. W. L. Greene and Mrs. George B. Lockhart. Several readings were given during the afternoon by Mrs. C. E. Richards and Mrs. Ernest Ashton Smith gave vocal selections. Cronln entertained at a children's party yesterday afternoon at her home in honor of the fifth birthday of her son, Jack. A centerpiece of pink roses was used on the tea table, with ribbon rib-bon streamers extending to each piace with butterfly place cards attached.
