Show SOUTH HECLA SHOWS STEADY DEVELOPMENT Satisfactory development is being made at the South Hecla mine, reports George H. "Watson, manager of the property, despite de-spite the fact that surface water is percolating per-colating through the stopes and causing some trouble with caving and other minor mi-nor handicaps. Shipping of seventy-five to 100 tons per day, since it was begun on May 16, has proceeded regularly. The railroad is operating most successfully, success-fully, and ail conditions in the district Indicate that some very interesting developments de-velopments will take place this summer. Mr. Watson says a shortage of miners and other help is handicapping operations. |
