I l ; , X i i - f v, M : I - - - Tt k - ; Evidence Sent Here to Former For-mer Friends of Henry Sturgeon. MARY STURGEON CALDWELL, the Utah . girl who came, to Suit Lake a few weeks ago, believes that she lias found her father, Henry J5. Sturgeon, who was located as a result of information informa-tion carried in The Tribune. Miss Caldwell has sent a picture to some of the former friends of her father who knew him twenty years or more ago in au effort, to comilete the identification. The Henry Sturgeon of Portland, located lo-cated bv Mrs. A. JI. Howard of Salt Lake in response to a story in The Tribune, and the Henry E. Sturgeon the givl knows to be her father, have life stories that are almost identical. The same scars, the same tattoo marks are on the Henry Sturgeon in Portland that records show Mary's father to have had. But the confusion which has thus far prevented a positive identification has been brought, about by Mr. Sturgeon's Sturg-eon's loss, of memory regarding certain cer-tain years of his life. Mr. Sturgeon suffered from a tropical fever several years ago which has since impaired his memory. He has told Mary Sturgeon that he would give anything to be able to claim her as his daughlcr, but that he is not clear as to his family connections, connec-tions, and can't be certain that he is related to her. After meeting Mr. Sturgeon, and gaining from him a3 much information as possible, Mrs. Caldwell lias gone to San Francisco temporarily but will return re-turn to Portland later and definitely determine whether the Henry Sturgeon of Portland is her father or not. |
