Show Kanarraville News By Carina Williams Friday evening Lorraine Cornelius, Rosalie Hawkins and Sherry Prisby were hostesses for a personal shower for Colleen (Toots) Stewart. She received many lovely gifts. Games were played and light refreshments served. Out of town guests here were Colleen's mother and sisters, Ruby Stewart, Kathy Perez and girls, Enterprize; Diane Stewart, St. George, her mother-in-law, Florence Hall and her aunt and cousin LaRu Pollock and Brenda Polloch all from Enterprize. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Reeves and Jolene from Las Vegas, Nev. spent a few days here with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Reeves. Town election was held Tuesday for two town Coun-cilmen, Coun-cilmen, Willard Batty was hold over and Scott Berry and Leon Reeves, Jesse Prisby were new members. Leon Reeves was elected and he replaced Debile Davis who had served for many years. Miss Diana Murphy from Temple City, Calif, spent a week here with her girlfriend Carrie Gubler. Mayor and Mrs. Bill Byrne returned home Tuesday after spending four days in Clarmont, Calif, with the three daughters and family. Lynn aj Ella Reeves went to Las Veg'.s, Nev. to spend a week with their granddaughter and family, Verna and Stelman Hinton and Mr. and Mrs. Evan Reeves. Mrs. Irene Davis is still in the Dixie Medical Center where she is suffering from two broken legs and thumb, received in an automobile accident. She is improving slowly. Mrs. Mabel Williams left Thursday to spend the winter in Las Vegas, Nev. with her and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Bryan. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Kneeland and Children, Robyn Ann and Christopher from Fargo, North Dakota spent several days here with their sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Gubler and family. Jeffrey and Ellen Williams of St. George spent the weekend here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chet Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Eastman. Mrs. Carolyn Williams and Mrs. Retta Davis and daughter, spent a few days last week in Salt Lake City. . Richard and Cheryl Rose, Robin and David of Las Vegas, Nev. spent the weekend here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Williams. Mrs. Darlene Carter and Mabel Peterson of Cedar City spent the afternoon visiting with Vaughn Isom and brought her a dozen long-stem roses. Mabel is leaving shortly for an LDS Mission. Joe and Ora Paxton of Hurricane spent the afternoon visiting Alenna Berry and Aloma. Jerry Dill Isom of Cedar City spent the night with her grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Vaughn Isom. Lamond Parker of Cedar City and son, Kenneth, of New Harmony, Har-mony, visited Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Chester Williams. |
