Show By Marine Talbot 676-8084 The early morning drone of the crop dusters plane criss-crossing the valley has served as a wake up call. The work has to be hurried before the wind comes up. Mable Harris and son, Rick Irish went to Salt Lake City where they met Mablc's daughter, Margaret Mar-garet Saylcr and two granddaughters, granddaugh-ters, Katie and Kasey, from Moscow, Ida. Mable brought Katie back here for an extended visit in the country. The Kay Heywoods had Heidi Heywood here for a few days after college closed in Cedar City. Heidi is vice-counselor to president Stacee Yardlcy on Southern Utah University's student council. The officers had to attend to business, preparing to take office at the university uni-versity this fall. Other visitors at Kay and Ncilene's were their granddaughter, Cristina Clerica and son, Joseph from West Jordan. A dozen local Daughters of the Utah Pioneers members went to Escalante to the two-county convention. con-vention. They enjoyed seeing our neighboring towns again in Bryce Valley and Escalante and meeting with friends who are trying so hard to preserve the history of Kanab and Garfield counties. A new DUP camp from Fredonia, Ariz, was welcomed to the group. A great time was had by all who attended and the food was delicious. Our love and sympathy is extended ex-tended to Randy and Nancy Houston Hous-ton at the death of their special son, Sam. Grandparents here are Mayo and Hazel Rich, the late Matt Houston and Miles and Esther Barney. Sam was brought home to lie among his ancestors in the Pan-guitch Pan-guitch Cemetery. We hear that our dear Maxine Hcnrie broke some bones in a fall. Son, Dr. E. Terry Hcnrie, has her hooked up to a medic alert system. Mary Ann Church and Mary Hcnrie are home from Dixie. Mary even got her garden planted. boya Miller and son, Joshua, visited his mother Lena Miller. Royce and Pearl Veatcr Walker are home for the summer and are working on their ancestral home, the Steven Walker place. Dclcnc Housekeeper has gone home to Provo to help her mother who is undergoing chemotherapy treatments. Katie Picrson, daughter of Craig and Mary Lou Marshall Picrson is living with Clco and Monte Marshall Mar-shall and working at Bryce Canyon. The Haycock brothers, Warren, Dick and Harold are here off and on at their cabin at the lake. Touching tributes to their fathers fa-thers were given by the young people peo-ple of all three Panguitch LDS Wards on Sunday. Gary and Ellen Cameron are here, have planted a garden, poured cement and are working on their Panguitch home; really updating it. Jim and Sybil Taylor were here from Nevada cleaning up their yard. Dorothy Houston went to Dutch John to attend the blessing of her first great granddaughter born to the Fred Houstons. Eddie Miller was here to see his brothers, Kenny Miller and Richard Miller. Joy Richards visited with her sister, Blanche Pendleton. The Jackie Orton Dalton family visited with her sister, Maurictta Syrclt. Dorothy Miller Cameron was here staying at the cabin at Panguitch Pangui-tch Lake. Kathleen Church has been here visiting her mother, Kate Church at the family home. The Gerald Robinsons look his dad, Scott with them to Idaho. Garrett McCullough was ordained or-dained a deacon in the Panguitch LDS Second Ward. A daughter was born to David and Chcrric Syrctt Tcbbs of Bryce Canyon. Proud grandparents arc Mike and Margaret Tcbbs and Rod and Kathcrn Syrctt. |
