Show ARC Worker Visits Delta Miss Elsie Davies, general field representative for the American Red Cross, visited the west Millard chapter last week. Her headquarters headquart-ers are Cedar City, and her territory terri-tory is southern Utah. Miss Davies conferred with Mrs. Sepha Robison, chapter chairman, and other local workers. Plans were made for the membership drive, which opens across the nation on March 1, to run through ' March. Ben Robison, of Sutherland, will act as chairman of this year's local campaign. Miss Davies also commented especially es-pecially upon the work of the home nursing division. Much interest has been shown in the training courses with a number of wives and mothers moth-ers enrolled. They use their training train-ing at home, and are also prepared for emergencies. The Tooele chapter chap-ter of the Red Cross were able to give valuable aid to victims of the two-bus crash and fire in December. Decem-ber. Plans were also miade to have a course on water safety and life saving this coming summer. This would be under the direction of Ray Finlinson, water safety chairman, chair-man, and held in the Delta Municipal Muni-cipal swimming pool He completed complet-ed the Red Cross course last year. |
