Gayle Yorgason, chairman of the Polio drive campaign reports a total of $180.00 has been received for the control o this dreaded disease. Parent-Teachers meeting wil? be held Wednesday evening in the Community Hall with President Pres-ident A. Reed Collard in charge. Eldon Hughes of Mt. Pleasant will be present and will show pictures of his travels while in the service, also New York City and places of interest. There will also be selections from the girls chorus, under the direction of Mrs. Verda A. Lund. The Junior Jun-ior high school band will also play several numbers. Mrs. Maurice Mikkelson entertained en-tertained her club members Thursday evening at a card party and luncheon. The following fol-lowing ladies were present: Rachel Syme, Beth Anderson, Esther Beck, Valene Beck, Connie Con-nie Mikkelson, Donna Ivory, Edna Christensen, Itha Green, Delia Crowther, Glen Johnson, Mary Hansen and the hostess. Social News Mr. and Mrs. Roy Adam are visiting in Provo with relatives. Mr. Rawlin Jacobsen, a student stud-ent at the A. C. in Logan, visited vis-ited in Fountain Green during the week. Miss LuJane Christiansen of the B. Y. U., spent a few days of the week with her parents, Mr. and 'Mrs. Jos. R. Christiansen, Christian-sen, Mr. Ivan Rasmussen is visiting visit-ing in Pasadena, California, with relatives. Miss Edis Hansen of Salt Lake City spent Saturday and Sunday in Fountain Green. Miss Elinor Hansen of Salt Lake City visited during the week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Hansen. Mr. Monte Nielson of McGill. Nevada, has purchased the J. H. Stilwell store and will be come manager Saturday, March 1st. Jesse Oldroyd who is teaching school at Payson spent Saturday and Sunday at her home in Fountain Green. Cornell Holman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Relden Holman, is very ill at his home with scarlet scar-let fever. Wendell Mikkelson of the U. S. Army, now training in Georgia, Geor-gia, is home for a short visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Mikkelson. Glen Shepherd is reported to be in critical condition at the Payson hospital. Speakers at Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday, February 23rd were Dermont Madsen of Moroni and Victor Rasmussen of Fountain Green. Mr. and Mrs. Reve Sorensen o: Ogden visited during the week with friends. Mrs. Ruby Stansfield of Salt t alio ritu is . visiting at the home of her parents, Mr, and Mrs. Joseph Anderson. Mrs. Stella Liddiard of Orem has been visiting for a few days with relatives. Mrs. Howard Ivory and son Keith of Vernal are Fountain Green visitors of the week. Mrs. Ada Collard entertained at a birthday party Monday evening in honor of her daughter daugh-ter Marilyn and Ilene Madsen.
