Show Funeral Services For Sarah Jane Barnurn Were Held In Mesquite MESQUITE, Nevada Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Jane Barnum, 77, former Mesquite resident, resi-dent, who died in Las Vegas, were held Friday, May 25, at 2 p. m. in the ward hall. Many relatives from Enterprise and Las Vegas attended. Carmelia Hardy directed the Singing Mothers of Mesquite Relief Re-lief Society in the numbers, "Oh, My Father," "Prayer Perfect," and "My Peace I Leave With You." Speakers were Bp. Johnson White of Las Vegas, L. M. Huntsman Hunts-man of Enterprise, and William Abbott of Mesquite. Lucy Barnum read a tribute from the Las Vegas D U P camp. Eigth sisters of Mrs. Barnum, all advanced in years, were present. pres-ent. All nine were daughters of Dudley Leavitt, early L D S colonizer colo-nizer of this area. Mrs. Barnum's husband, James Barnum, died and was buried in Mesquite several years ago. |
