Show Miss Nellie Jenson Now At Clearfield In Aviation Ordinance Having no brother to wield a war weapon, Miss Nellie Jenson, former St. George girl, decided to represent her family in the present conflict by enlisting in the civilian Navy at the Supply Depot in Clearfield. She went to Clearfield as a clerk-Stenographer clerk-Stenographer in Aviation Ordnance, July 17, 1944. Born in St. George, she is aj daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar M. Jenson, now of Provo. Her j father, who was former Dixie junior college president is an instructor in-structor in the Art Department and in charge of teacher replacement re-placement at the B Y U, Provo, j where she graduated in 1911. She has since taught two years in Washington and one year in St. i George. Her sister. Beverly is a senior at the B Y U and another sister, Gloria, is still in high school. She plans to return to teaching when the war is over. As a hobby, she collects poems and choice pictures with which to illustrate them. She likes to work with water colors and plans later to work in oils, when she has more spare time. |
