Show COMMITTEE FAVORS SENATOR PETtflS BILL FOB REAPPORTIONMENT, The public affairs committee of the senate will report favorably on the reapportionment bill introduced hy John V!. Peters. Minor amendments have been made hy the committee but not of such a natuie as will change' j the suhstim-e of the original measure. ; according to n decision -reached at a I meeting of Hie committee Fatunlay. The bill seeks lo hsve the membership mem-bership of the legislature Increased from It members in the senate lo I'O. and from 47 in the houre to ..;. The senatorial district under Its provisions would be composed of rS.OOO people and the representative district of 10.- 00. A similar reapportionment bill by. Senator George II. Duchesne Du-chesne and I'lnta counties would become be-come a fourth. Carbon. Kinery. Crand i and San Juan would be united to form a fifth district. The other senatorial districts would remain unchanged. Murray Drops Hack. Murray, now a city of the second class with a commission form of government, gov-ernment, will be dropped back into third claas under the terms of senate bill No. 10 by -Peters, according to D. W. Moffat, attorney and spokesman spokes-man of the Murray Chamber of commerce, com-merce, who appeared before the public pub-lic affaire committee Saturday.
