Show I Budget Would Reduce Deficit By Half and Would Cut Under Last Two Years By $ 1 ,500,000 THE governor'a budget for ths ensuing two years was presented this afternoon In the lower house of the Utah legislature. Although at the end or the ensuing biennium tha stats will still have a deficit amounting to nearly half a million dollars, a saving over ths paat two yeare of mora than a million and a half will have been effected, effect-ed, providing tha budget prepared by Gov. Charles R. Mabey Is adhered to and no additional appropriations are made. , Tha governor'a budget for the e- aulng two years seeks to cut ths deficit of the past two years, amounting to lM.MT.5. down to 1401. 027. It and still maintain tha aama degree of efficient service In the departments of state government. It provides, however, for no appropriations except thoae which are absolutely necessary to the continuation of tha state's business for the next two years.
