Show Revise List Of Legion Officers A slight change in the official roster ros-ter for Gunnison Guard Mount, Fost 10.4,. American Legion, was made at; the 'regular meeting ot the legion-aires legion-aires lastt Saturday evening. Several Sev-eral new appointments were made and a vice-commander was appointed. appoint-ed. The list as revised is: Sidney J. Baxter, post commander; K. M. Madsen, vice-commander; C. T. Hoff, post adjutant; Rex Kearns, finance! officer; L. G. Anderson, post historian; histor-ian; L. B. Bigler, post chaplain; M. A. Beauregard, sergeant-at-arms. The officers named, together with Fred H. Jones, Harold Halverson and J. B. Roper, will constitute the executive exec-utive committee. At the next regular meeting it Is proposed to complete the organization organiza-tion by naming several committees to have charge of the different departments de-partments of the Legion work in Gunnison. A house committee will be named, a committee for activities, one for news service, a finance committee, com-mittee, athletics and service committee. commit-tee. The local post has opened quarters in the Van Nordeck building, in one of the rooms recently vacated by the high school. A pool table has been installed, tables and chairs arranged and altogether the quarters are inviting in-viting and will answer the purpose until better and permanent quarters can be arranged for. The members, through the columns of The News, wish most heartily to thank those who contributed furniture, etc., for tho rooms. A visit to the headquarters revealed re-vealed the fact that the big walls are bare and very bleak. A few pictures would add greatly both in effect and pleasure, and if there are any in Gunnison who have decorative pictures pic-tures photographs of great men or attractive scenery, it will be graciously gra-ciously accepted by the local post.
