Svvalberg, the Marysvale stockman, was here this week look-1 ing after his business' interests. j Mr. and Mrs. C.A.Storrsof Richfield, were here Sunday as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Storrs. J. H. Edwards and Charles McKay of Delta, were here the first of the week looking after business matters and visiting visit-ing with friends. Mrs. J. N. Dorius, who spent a week as the house guest of Dr. and Mrs. Nel-fion Nel-fion Beal, returned to her home at Eph-raim Eph-raim Sunday morning. Mrs. Ellen Hofheins and Mrs. Mae Jensen, motored to American Fork last Saturday for a brief visit to relatives. They returned home Tuesday. I'rof. A. C. Lund, better known among his Intimate friends here as "Tony," spent last Saturday and Sunday Sun-day visiting in Gunnison. Miss Edna Nelson delightfully entertained en-tertained a number of the "Lonesome Six" club members at a candy pull at her home last Sunday afternoon. Keith Lewis, formerly with the J.C. Pennfy Co., of this city, was here for a few hours last Sunday. Keith was en-route en-route to Salt Lake City for a weeks vacation. va-cation. Judge Wilson McCarthy, a prominent attorney of Salt Lake, was here Monday Mon-day in the interests of Zion's Savings & Trust company of Salt Lake City. He returned to his home Tuesday morning. Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Uuggins, who wore called to Provo last Saturday on account of the ;doa,lh of Richard Snow, a relative, have returned to their home here. Funeral services were held for Mr. Snow last Sunday. Miss Vera. Bown returned to her studies at Provo last Sunday, after having spent several days here visiting visit-ing with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Bown. Miss Bown is a student stu-dent of the B. Y. academy at the Garden City. Mr. and Mrs. R. Swalberg and children, who have been visiting with Mrs. Swalberg's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Christiansen, at Center-field Center-field for the past month, left for their home at Marysvale Tuesday evening of last week. E. M. Jolley who formerly conducted a barber shop at Centerfield, has leased the vacant room adjoining the Kozi Place and Thursday morning he opened his place for business. Mr.Jolley recently returned from Salt Lake where he purchased pur-chased a chair, mirror and other paraphernalia para-phernalia for his shop. Mrs. C. C. Edmonds was hostess to the members of the Bos Art club at her home Wednesday afternoon from two to five-thirty. Needlecraft was enjoed by the members until five o'clock when delicious refreshments were served by the hostess. The Easter idea was cleverly carried out at the luncheon. O. H. Halverson, with headquarters headquar-ters at Salt Lake, was here for several sev-eral days this week, visiting with his family. Mr. Halverson is serving as foreman of a bridge repair gang for the Salt Lake & Los Angeles railroad, and was taking a short vacation va-cation to visit his home in Gunnison. |
