Show Many Water Users Desire De-sire Additional Water A considerable number of water users met immediately after the Irrigation Irri-gation meeting, for Mie purpose of considering the organizing of a Water users' company in connection with the Deer Creek project. Geo. F. Shelley was named as chairman and James H. Clarke secretary. Mr. Shelley reported visiting the Government Reclamation Service at S'alt Lake City and stated that satisfactory satis-factory arrangements could be made whereby all those desiring Deer Creek water might organize and secure se-cure what water might be desired, the water to be delivered in conjunction conjunc-tion with the water of the American Fork Irrigation Company. Expressions were made to the effect that it would be a sad mistake for the people of the community not to take advantage of the Government's most liberal offer to supply water for a supplemental late water supply. Several hundred acre feet of deer creek water was individually signed for by those present at the meeting, and an invitation extended to all desiring de-siring water 'to sign, and it was the sense of those present that provided sufficient water is subscribed to justify justi-fy the undertaking, that steps be taken tak-en to effect an organization. |
