Eighty children and their leaders from Taylorsville 8th ward will accompany a float during the annual Days of 47 Youth' Parade to be held Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. in Salt Lake. They will be part of the 10,000 expected to march in what is being termed the worlds biggest parade of its kind. Our Youth Tell The Story is the general theme being followed by the 80 floats expected to appear, using one of four motifs, including pioneer, church, patriotic or story book. The Taylorsville 8th ward Primary float title is Take Time to d Teach. It will feature a clock, six feet in diameter, done in hot pink and purple with black numbers. Riding on the float itself will be two or three small children dressed as mice, suggestive of Hickory Dickory Dock. The car pulling the 8xl0xl0-foo- t float will be decorated to resemble a mouse by Jeff and Sherry Spatig. Following the float will be the children dressed in graduation mortar boards made from hot pink and purple foil and wearing bandlos of bright lime. Children will range in and those under 5 will age from ride in small wagons. The float frame was constructed from an old Boy Scout trailer by Tommy Peterson assisted by Mel Healy and Ken Bird. The clock was built by Bob and Marvin Cameron. Joyce Cameron is chairman of the float committee, assisted by Jane Milner and Sherry Spatig, all members of the Primary presidency. Assisting them were Nellie Hoskins, Mary Jane Healy, Ann Hall and Jea-ni- e Peterson. Jeri Lyn Howes made a small model of the float to create interest among the Primary children. Part of the cost of the float was raised during a bake sale put on by the children, assisted by other ward members. At the conclusion of the parade, participants will receive treats at the City County Building. The parade, being televised, will begin at the Brigham Young Monument on Main Street and South Temple, travel south to Fourth South and east to Second East. rl i Wm ADM , , , itUMfocfO-ccf-o two-face- ,v i r UP TO IN REDEEMABLE WRANGLER COUPONS 1 Homemakers Eye Yuletide Affair 1. our 2. 3. low price.
