Other than that one pitch, Walker was in charge the rest of the way. He gave up only three other hits - all singles - by Dave Howe, Carl Trujillo and Greg Tanner. He struck out eight and walked three. Taylorsville gave Walker all the support he needed by scoring six runs in the first two innings, three in each frame. Mike Littlewood continued his impressive power hitting performance of late with a home run to lead off the bottom of the first. Two more runs scored that inning on a single by Kelly Davis, a walk and a throwing error. In the second, Craig Vargo drove in one run when he slapped a bases-loade- d single. The runners on first and second also scored on the play when Murray threw the ball around. The final run crossed the plate in the sixth when George Grizzle walked and eventually scored on a sacrifice fly by Davis. Littlewood and Phil Evans were 2x3 to lead the eight-hi- t Taylorsville attack off Beck. He struck out eight and walked five. -- From Page 2A, Col. 4 ) Alta.
