BEBttv, Nov. 14 Prof. Koch publishes an article in the Deuttetie Mcdinukhe )Yoehentchrfl on the cure of tuberculosis. Prof. Koch says Do Is yet unprepared to indicate the source from which the curative matter is derived, and the method of the preparation, for the reason that his experimental work is f till in progress. He states that the curative lymph itself can bs obtained from Dr. I.lbbertz, address ad-dress No. 23 Lueneburger Strasse, Berlin. The lymph is described as cousbting of a brownish transparent lijuid so prepared as to be proof aeainst deterioration. When diluted dilut-ed with water for use, the matter is liable to decay. It Is necessary, therefore, that the attenuations be perfectly sterilized steril-ized by heatan J preserved In a wadding wad-ding covering or prepared with n solution of phenel, fifty percentage strong. When taken into the stomach the curative matter proves to have no effect It must be applied sub-cultaueoutly sub-cultaueoutly by means of a valueless value-less syringe, which must bo rinsed with absolute alcohol and kept in a perfectly aseptic condition. |
