The Democratic state convention today elected the following follow-ing delegates to the national convention at Karsns City: A. E. Miller. Laramie: P. C. Alger, Sheridan; C. E. Blydenburg. Rawlins; Walter L. Larsh. Cheyenne: R. A Keen-an. Keen-an. Rock Springs: Wiliiam Hinton, .Evans-ton. .Evans-ton. . Candidates for presidential;fIectors were chosen as follows: William Hunt of Big Horn county. Mike Murphy of Fremont county and William W. Burton of Uinta county. John C. Thompson of Cheyenne was nominated for representative In congress. J. C. Hamm of Evanston was made permanent per-manent chairman and M. J. Barry of Cheyenne, secretary. The platform adopted by the Cheyenne convention says: "We believe the constitution consti-tution should follow the "flag. "We are opposed to criminal aggression and adhere to the maxim that when a nation na-tion refuses to recognize the rights of others to self-government it will not long maintain its own liberties. "We favor governmental suppression of trusts and especially tariff-created monopolies. monop-olies. "We oppose a large standing army and condemn the policy of the administration in using federal troops in Idaho. "We lavQr the election of senators by direct- vote of the people. . ' "We denounce the present', administration administra-tion of Cuban and Porto Rican affairs. "We express sympathy with the South African republic and denounce the importation im-portation of Japanese and other contract labor. "We endorse the able and efficient leadership lead-ership of William Jennings Bryan in advocating ad-vocating the principles of Democracy as founded by Jefferson and defended by Lincoln and Instruct our delegates to the national convention to vote for his nomination nom-ination for the presidency." . |
