(Boniing- The celebrated concert soprano will appear in person at an invitation concert in the Manti Theatre WEDNESDAY EVENING OCTOBER 15 She will be assisted by "The Phonograph Phono-graph with a Soul." This appearance of the great concert artiste in Manti is the event of the season sea-son for lovers of good music. FREE TICKETS Call, write or telephone us for free tickets of admittance. admit-tance. They will be issued in order of application. ELMER P. MADSEN, Manti, Utah ,1 ODETTA FOXTENAY. Mr. Elmer P. Madsen will present Mme. Odetta Le Fontenay, lyric soprano, so-prano, of the Metropolitan Opera Company, season 1917-1918, and Mr. Charles Young in a recital at the Manti Theatre on October 15th. Jules Massanet wrote to Odetta Le Fontenay when he heard she had been engaged by the Opera Comique: "It is with great satisfaction that I learn of your engagement at the Opera Comique, and I am overjoyed to know that you are to be our delightful de-lightful interpreter." That gives you a slight idea of Mme. Le Fontenay who has exceptional excep-tional gifts. Her voice is a full and delightful soprano, and she brings to her artistic work a great emotional emotion-al intensity. Aside from her beautiful beauti-ful voice, the indefinable atmosphere atmos-phere of French art makes the singing sing-ing of Odetta Le Fontenay consistently consist-ently delightful. In addition to her vocal ability and her charming personality, per-sonality, she is an interpreter in the highest sense of the term. Her program pro-gram will consist largely of we'll known songs in English which is added testiimony of her versatility. The fact that Mme. Le Fontenay is to be assisted by Mr. Charles Young lends added interest to the event. Mr. Charles Young is a violinist, who has made many friends among discriminating music lovers for his sincere musicianship and unusual ability. There are indications that something some-thing out of the ordinary will be hoard at this recital although Mr. Madsen refuses lo divulge what it is. The ed'lor has his suspicions. If they are correct those who attend are apt to h;ivc a very pleasant surprise. .Adv. |
