In the seventh, Don Grothe ripped a 1-1 pitch over the centerfield fence to pull PG to within one run. Greg Nord, Timpview's winning pitcher held on to notch the win. Despite giving up two homers, Nord scattered six hits in controlling PG's offense. Grothe went the distance for the Vikings, allowing just two hits. Errors in the field cost PG the game. Thursdays game at American Fork was played in winter weather conditions. con-ditions.
