Devoted His Life to Church LTKIBUNE SPECIAL Logan Nov 21 Wlllard G Smith oxpresident of Morgan stale died at his home on First East street at 1 oclock today Mr Smith was horn at Amhurst Loriinc county Ohio May 9 I 1827 and was associated with the Mormon Mor-mon church from Its beginning He started west with the pioneers and was present nt the first meeting where the I call for volunteers to go to Mexico was made He enlisted as drummer boy and after his term had expired reenlisted reen-listed for six months as guard He arrived in Salt Lake in 1S4S then vent l East to Join his mother who was
