Show UTAH-IDAHO 'PHONE-BOOK' TO BE ISSUED SOON In line' with their policy of greatly great-ly improved directory servibe, The Mountain States Telephone and Tele graph company announce plans tor j j the publication of an Idaho-Utah Business Telephone directory. This directory will not supplant the regular telephone directory but will be an additional service furnished fur-nished free to every business tele-i phone subscribed in the two states. I This new directory, which will be: the first of its kind ever issued in'; the United States, will make its ap-' pearance soon after the first of the year. There will be approximately 100 sections a section for each city.. All .cities will be alphabetically arranged and all business firms will be alphabetically listed under the ! city in which located. Thus every merchant, manufacturer, jobber, retailer re-tailer and professional man will have at his finger ends a complete list of all business houses in the intermoun-tain intermoun-tain trade area. Each listing will give the firm name, business, street address and- telephone number. Approximately Ap-proximately 20,000 copies of this special business telephone directory will be necessary to supply every business man in the states of Idaho and Utah, j A general information section will contain a complete resume of freight, express, parcel post, air mail and long distance telephone rates as well as maps of Idaho and Utah showing rail facilities and other important trade information. This special section sec-tion will also contain indexes designed design-ed to aid the user in quick reference. While primarily designed to facilitate facili-tate the furnishing of long distance telephone number service it will go a long way in stimulating the inflow of trade thruout the intermountairt area. |
