Show ACCEPTS CHAIRMANSHIP Bishop Elias S. Woodruff has accepted ac-cepted the Utah Chairmanship for the Near East Relief in anticipation of the observance of Golden Rule Sunday, December 4th. "Our plan is immediately to appoint ap-point chairmen in every county of the state," states Bishop Woodruff. A series of Golden Rule dinners will be held beginning immediately after Thanksgiving ang extending toward the Christmas season. I know that a great many people may have the impression that the Near East Relief is merely a charitable chari-table Christian effort to care for unfortunates un-fortunates in a distant land without realizing that the movement was begun be-gun in an emergency and, after fulfilling ful-filling its mission, will cease to function. func-tion. I feel that no one could be unwilling un-willing to do their part to finish the job in a way that all Americans would ! approve." The first county chairman to be ! appointed is Mr. A. B. Foulger of Ogden, for Weber county. Others ; will be announced shortly. |
