Show American Fork Locals Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Marsh of Alpine visited in Salt Lake City Sunday with their chil-I chil-I dren. Mrs. Clarence O'Lawaon is expected ex-pected to return home this week from Salt Lake City where she has been In the hospital for & major operation. Mrs. R. J. Brown and son Bobby of Spanish Fork visited Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Adamson. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Pierce of Salt Lake City were guests Sunday Sun-day of Mr. and Mrs. George D. Pierce. I Mrs. Earl McDaniel, a new-1 comer who has been here since last August has gone to Joplin, Mo., to visit with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth S. Bickel i had as their guest over the week end, Pvt. Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Green rs- j ceived a long distance call Mon- ' day evening from their daughter, Joan, who is attending school in Washington, D. C. Mrs. Reuben Chipman spent Sunday in Provo visiting with : her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Spafford. Mr. and Mrs. George Green-man Green-man arrived home Tuesday from an extended visit with relatives in Chicago and Cleveland. Miss Mildred Greenwood has returned from a visit with Mrs. Lou E. Grocsbeck and family at Holden. Mrs. Frank Dunklcy of Salt lake City spent the week end ".th Mrs. Roy Grcenv ood. Dr. and Mrs. J. F. Noyes and Miss Martha Chipman returned Monday from Las Angeles where visiting relatives a. vl friends. they spent the last three weeks Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Loveridge and sons, Gordon and Kiel of Richfield spent the week end with Mrs. G. H. Gordon. Sunday Sun-day Mrs. Gordon, Mrs. Loveridge and Miss Donna Gordon w-ent to Draper to attend memorial services serv-ices for Vern Gordon, a cousin, who was killed in the South Pacific Pa-cific battle area. Happy Birthday Club I Mr. and Mrs. Elry Wild of Al-I Al-I pine entertained the Happy I Birthday club Saturday evening I in honor of Mrs. Wild's birthday. Four tables of 500 were played with Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Devey winning the prizes for high score, Mrs. Frank Healey and Glen Terry Ter-ry the consolation favors. Mr. K. J. Bird accompanied by over 30 members of the high school band and orchestra went to Lehi Saturday evening to attend at-tend the concert given by Jan and Mischel Cherniavsky, Russian Rus-sian pianist and 'cello artists. Lady Lions Mrs. Theora Marceil of the Juvenile Court of Provo was the guest speaker before the Lady Lions Thursday eening. Her subject sub-ject was problems connected with juvenile delinquency. Mrs. Clifford E. Young accompanied by Mrs. Olin H. Ririe sang a solo. The meeting was held at the home of Mrs. John H. Miller with Mrs. Young. MrS. James E. Chadwick and Mrs. J. Lloyd Oh-ran Oh-ran assisting hostesses. Twenty-nine Twenty-nine members were present. Woolgrowers Auxiliary Noel Knight was guest speaker speak-er for the Woolgrowers Auxiliary when they met at the home of Mrs. Reuben Chipman Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon of last week. In a most interesting manner Mr. Knight told of sheep raising and wool production in South Africa and Australia, comparing methods meth-ods of raising and qualities of wool with those of this country- At the close of the talk refreshments re-freshments were served by the hostess to twelve members. |
