Show SECOND WARD RELIEF SOCIETY HONORS FORM ER PRESIDENTS Former Presidents of the Second Sec-ond Ward Relief Society were honored hon-ored on Tuesday afternoon at the anniversary meeting and program' The program was prepared by the program committee and conducted con-ducted by Mrs. Florence C. Walker. Walk-er. Group singing was directed ' by Mrs. Pearl McMillen and accompanied ac-companied by Mrs- Sarah Clark. Prayer was offered by Mrs. Effa Williams. Mrs. Margarget B. Dev-ereax, Dev-ereax, accompanied by Mrs. Clark sang two vocal solos, "An Irish Lullaby" and "Come Back To Ireland.'" Ire-land.'" A humorous reading "Gold-clocks "Gold-clocks was given by Miss Irene Warnick, followed by a clarinet duet by Miss Elma Walker and Miss Marcia Wadley. Tribuates to past presidents were given by Mrs. Martha Peterson, Pet-erson, after which corsages of sweet peas were presented to the honored guests by Mrs. Laura Robertson, Rob-ertson, preident. Responses were made by Mrs. Ida Smith, Mrs. A-manda A-manda Gleason, past presidents. Mrs. Cleon Kirk spoke ni behalf of hr-r mother Lydia B. Lund of Salt Lake City- Messages of greetings greet-ings and regrets at not being present pre-sent were extended from Mrs. Genevieve S. Robertson, of Ogden and Mrs. Zella Peay of Salt Lake CiU- and a short talk by Mrs. Clara Webb of Lehi. Tasty refrehments were served. Past Presidents honored were: Mrs. Lydia B. Lund, Mrs. Ida F. Smith. Mrs. Armanda Gleason. Mrs. Genevieve S. Robertson, and Mrs. Zella Peay. Others who served ser-ved in this capacity were: Mrs. Elizabeth D. Stewart and Mrs. Luel'a E. Thorne both deceased. |
