Show Dean J. Cobbley ." i i t I - f " ' ! ft - I I h I I -I I L - - l I Corporal Dean J. Cobbley, son j of C. J. and ldella Culimore Cobbley Cob-bley was born April 7th 1918 at Lindon, Utah. He attended the Lindon grade school and Pleasant Grove High Schocl. After he grdnated in the spring of 1936, he filled a mission miss-ion for the L. D. S. church in North Central States, laboring in North Dakota, and Montana. He returned in 1940 and was employed j at the pipe plant. I In November 1940 he was married mar-ried to Reva Gillman in the Salt Lake Temple. They have a son, horn in August,, 1942. Dean was inducted into the service ser-vice December 2nd, 1942. After a short stay at Fort Douglas, he was sent to Camp Callan, San Diego, Clifornia, in the Anti-Aircraft branch of the LT. S. army. He went to truck driver school and was chosen honor student of a class of 68 men. At present he is a member of the cadre at the camp and helps train the new men. He was promoted pro-moted to PFC. on July 20th, 1943. Dean came home on July 21st "I94? for a fifton day furlough. When he returned to his camp on Aucust 3!th he took his wife nnd son Garv with him to reside near the rami), He was recently nron.oted to Corporal. |
