S Hospital Friday last, after a lingering Illness of several years. The body was embalmed at Salt Lake, pheed In a beautiful casket and shipped to tliU city where she and her husband hnvo re-Idrd re-Idrd for some time paU. Mrs. Clayton whs the daughter of John W. Imley Btid Luella Imlfy (deceased) of l'ailguitch, Utah She leaves u sorrowing husband, two children altd a host of relatives and friends to ntourn her loss. She was n faithful Latter-day Saint ami exercised a gnat deal of faith and patience during her sickness. Owing to so many being in attendance at conference the regular Sunday services were dispensed with and the fuucral services held during the regular meeting hours. The intimate friends of the deceased viewed the ro-tnnlns ro-tnnlns at the residence in the forenoon. The services began at S p.m., Second Counselor Jos. Jensen presiding. Tho ward choir furnl-hcd tho singing, under ' tho direction of Leslie flrover. Tho casket, literally covered with beautiful i flowers, was bom from t lie resilience tiy the pall-beareis. followed by the mourners. mourn-ers. Following were tho p.ill-boarors: Oeo. F. Grover, Nathan Klrkham, Ben Clayton. Will Clayton, Geo. Henrlo and Jas, W. Imley. Tho services began by tho choir sing-Ing sing-Ing "Sister, Thou Wast Mild nnd Love-ly." Love-ly." Tho speakers were Mrs. Sanford Blng-ham, Blng-ham, president of the Relief Society, Albert Grover, Witt. Klug, J. K. C rbctt, Jos. JoUsclt and Geo. Henrlo, all of whom paid a high tribute to bar sterling character and gave words of comfort to the sorrowing ones. Tho closing piece by tho eholf was "licit for tho Weary Soul." Imley, her brother, lioth of Pan-gultch, Pan-gultch, Utah, who left Monday for their home in southern Utah. |
