Show Puppet show, workshop In conjunction with the illustration illustra-tion show, "The Friend, Show and Tell,' currently on exhibit, the BountifulDavis Art Center will present a puppet show of "Billy Goat Gruff ' followed by a puppet-making puppet-making workshop, Wednesday, Oct. 24, 4-5:30 p.m. with puppeteer Dona Price, for children of all ages. The story was adapted by J.R. Howe, who wrote the script in rhythm, creating a play with a theme to remind children that when they work together they can accomplish ac-complish things that seem insurmountable. insur-mountable. Dona Harding Price was born and raised in Bountiful and currently current-ly lives in Springville. She has been a puppeteer for seven years after having studied with Dr. Harold Oaks at BYU and Lynne Anne Richards of Strings n Things. Price's performances are presented under the name of Aunt Dona's Puppets. She presents puppet awareness as well as shows at schools and parties, using all types of puppets from finger puppets to body puppets. The "Billy Goat Gruff show is presented on a one-person marionette stage with background music and special lighting. L |
