Show Residen ts toheor Oveson I Lieutenant Governor Val Oveson will address the Davis I County Young Republicans on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 7:30 I p.m. Lt Governor Oveson was first elected to statewide of- I fice when he was 28. He will speak on what young people I can do to make a difference in government and politics. In addition to Lt. Governor Oveson, one of the Davis I County Republican Party officers will brief the attendees on I the various electoral races taking place in Davis County this I fall. The Young Republicans will then plan ways in which I they can assist the Republican candidates, particularly those I in close elections. The meeting will be held at the County Commission offices, of-fices, 28 East State, Room 126, in Farmington. The meeting is open to all, and there is no attendance fee. The Young Republicans is the largest youth political group in the nation, offering opportunities for political in- I volvement at the local, state and national level for those between be-tween the ages of 18 and 40. Young Republicans' activities I include voter registration, fund raising, candidate campaign assistance, local meetings and state and national conven- I tions. |
