Show 3 Foreign Engineers Coming To Utah For Iniormation Engineers from three foreign countries are -expected in Salt Lake City about February 15, according to E. O. Larson, director direct-or of Region 4, Bureau of Reclamation. Recla-mation. They are L. E. Ordez, Professor of Hydraulic Engineering at the University of Bogota, South A-merica; A-merica; Trior G. Brandtzaeg, designing de-signing and construction engineer engi-neer with the Norwegian Hydro-Electrical Hydro-Electrical Nitrogen Production Company of Oslo, Norway; and Arturo Carvajal, irrigation engineer, engi-neer, Chile, South America. Their visit to Utah is part of an extensive automobile field trip being taken to inspect Bureau Bu-reau structures, dams and power plants in New Mexico, Arizona, California and other western states. They have evinced particular par-ticular interest in Boulder, Grand Coulee and Shasta Dams. Their itinerary will take them to Anderson And-erson Ranch Dam at Mountain Home near Boise, Ida., American Falls Dam at Burley and to Pocatello Po-catello and Montpelier, Ida., immediately im-mediately prior to coming to Salt Lake City. While in Region 4, the engineers engi-neers probably will visit parts of Utah's largest reclamation project, the Deer Creek project, including Deer Creek Reservoir, Provo Reservoir Canal and the Salt Lake Aqueduct. Upon comnletion of the trip the engineers will return to Denver, Colo., where for some time they have been conferring with the Bureau of Reclamation's chief engineer. |
