Show EASTER SEALS m ON SALE The 1954 campaign for the sale of Easter Seals to help Utah's cerebral palsied children got under way March 18, and will continue I until Easter Sunday, April 18. Thousands of Easter Seals have ' been sent to residents throughout the state. Over 92 per cent of all money collected will remain .in Utah, with less than 7 per cent being used for administration. Easter Seal contributions made possible these extensive accomplishments accom-plishments this year: 3724 physical therapy treatments, 3012 occupational occupa-tional therapy treatments, 4120 speech and hearing correction treatments, and 120 classes in special education.' One hundred ' thirty-six patients received surgical surgi-cal care. ' One hundred forty-two patients received hospitalization There were 104 pre-school classes for children, and braces, crutches, wheel chairs and other appliances were provided, all without cost to the patient. During the year employment em-ployment was found for 74 handicapped handi-capped persons. |
