Show Fair Grounds May 8. Purpose of the Road-E-O is to give teen-agers a chance to become be-come better drivers, by competing compet-ing in written quizzes and driving driv-ing skill examinations. State finalists final-ists will receive many prizes and scholarships, according to the state chairman. George Beckstead, Salt Lake county sheriff, the Salt Lake police po-lice department, the Utah Motor Transportation association and other safety clubs will be assisting assist-ing the Jaycees in the state-wide project. TEEN-AGE ROAD CONTEST SET Jaycees in more than 800 counties coun-ties throughout the U. S. will begin local preliminaries to the third national Teen-Age Road-E-O to be held in Washington, D. C. August 10-14. According to Bruce Parsons, state chairman of the Utah Teen-Age Teen-Age Road-E-O, the Utah contest will be conducted during the month of April with the state finals to be held at the Salt Lake County |
