Show t The Seventy Quorum of the Sixth ward and their wives gathered at a Provo Park Saturday Sat-urday evening for a steak fry. Included in the group were-Mr. were-Mr. and Mrs. Don Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Huff, Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Weight, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Huff, Mr. and Mrs Alma Garrett, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Weight, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Forshee. jf earth quake area, but found that this city had felt the tremors tre-mors also. Neim-ger. They also went with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Grant on ani eu5 rioted . . . Carl Park, son of Mr. and Mrs. Loris Park, left recently to take his basic training at Fort Ord, Calif. He is a 1956 graduate of the Springville high school and has been in the National Guard the past three years. Also leaving for his basic training at the same time at Fort Ord, is Bobby Lucas, Lu-cas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Diamond Dia-mond Lucas of Springville. IIrs. May Bird spent thej weekend visiting her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Harmer at their summer home in Payson canyon, where Mr. and Mrs. Gene Averett and family were also guests Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Dalton and son Steven and two grandsons, grand-sons, Jeff and Lincoln Dalton and Mrs. Johnson's mother, enjoyable fishing trip to Koot-ney Koot-ney Lake, returning to their home here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hatfield Hat-field and two children Frances and Ronald returned home recently re-cently from a delightful trip into Canada. They went to Lake Louise and to Banff and then toured places of interest in Idaho, Washington and Oregon and were especially interested in-terested in the Grand Coulee dam. They were gone about ten days. Mrs. Anna Johnson are home from a visit to Yellowstone Park during the earth quake. They went to visit Dr. and Mrs. Clair Johnson who have their summer home a short distance from Mack's Inn at the West entrance. Upon arrival arri-val Monday, Mrs. Anna Johnson John-son went to spend the night with her son Clair and wife while others in the party were lodging at Mack's Inn. They reported various reactions from the quake and described the excitement in the area. They traveled to Ashton, Ida. the following day to leave the |
