The bride is the former Miss Lynne Bird, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. Freeman Bird and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Mer-vi- n Wright of Springville. The ceremony was performed Tuesday evening August 18, by Earl Child, bishop of the Sev-enth ward, in the presence of immediate family members and close friends and the couple were later honored at a recep-tion at Maple Valley Inn. They greeted friends and re-latives on the softly lighted front patio, a blue-tinte- d pool with floating lillies forming an attractive background. The bride was beautifully gowned in bridal taffetta with brocaded rose trim. Her short man for his brother. Parents of the couple also assisted in the reception of guests, Mrs. Bird choosing a green lace for the event and Mrs. Wright, blue lace. Attending the guest book, were Carol B. He has a sister, Mrs. Arvilla Storrs of Salt Lake just a year and a half younger; also his sister Mrs. May Smith of Springville is 86. Another sis-ter and brother, Gertrude Pack-ard and Winn Harrison both live in Salt Lake. The Harrisons live in the home which they built 63 years ago at 341 South Second West. Mrs. Harrison is a charter member of the Aaron Johnson DUP camp in which she has been an officer and also of the Mothers Study club. She was secretary of Relief So-ciety eleven years. They were married in the Manti Temple August 28, 1889. All eight of their sons and daughters are living. They are Bissell Harrison of Pinedale, Wyo.; Mrs. Ada Krause, Leon Harrison, Arvilla Carter, Mil-ton Harrison, Helen Measom, all of Springville; Mrs. Arlena Holley of Mapleton; Robert B. Harrison of San Lorenzo, Calif. There are also 18 grandchild-ren and 46 great grandchildren. Man who tries to do some-thing and fails is a lot better off than the man who tries nothing and succeeds. L. Springmeyer and family of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hall and family of Stockton, Calif. Mrs. George Roylance and daughter Karen and son Orvil visited this week at Roosevelt with Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Roy-lance and at Vernal with Mr. and Mrs. Rex Roylance and families.
