A native of Kent, England, she came to the United States in June 1885, settling in Logan. She married Henry P. Swinyard December 26, 1883. They moved from 'Logan to Garland in 1909. Three of her children are still living. They are Mrs. Beatrice Wright, Garland; A. H. Swinyard, Deer (Park, Washington; and Mrs. Marie Jensen, Salt Lake City.
