As for myself, my-self, 1 would'nt go to that much trouble, nor ask for that much work when one-third the trouble, work and expense will give just as beautiful a lawn. Most lawns in this territory are primarily blue grass. Our soil, water and climate are better suited to its requirements. However, How-ever, blue grass does not stand close clipping like bent grass does especially during the hot summer months,-The main reason rea-son for this is that.the leaves are needed to change the substances taken up by the roots into the form of food needed to properly feed the plant. Td keep blue grass lawns "shaved" is to help starve the plant. Raise yor lawn mower, about the middle of May, so that it cuts about two inches high.
