Show Twin Bill Rates Hiili at Mario Coiredy and melodrama are mixed effectively at the Mario Theater this week to insure an evening of sparkling entertainment. entertain-ment. On the comedy side, Joan Leslie and Robert Hutton are starred in their Latest role together, to-gether, "Janie Gets Married." In the other feature, "Her Kind of Man," Dane Clark, Janis Paige and Zachary Scott are starred. Joan Leslie arranges, in an early sequence, to accompany Hutton to the altar. Hutton is seen again in the role of Dick Lawrence, in which capacity he wooed Janie in the earlier film. As her recently discharged GI bridegroom, he is amuch-bewild-ered young man who steps gingerly gin-gerly along a rocky path through most of the plot's unfolding. Hard-hitting melodrama and sweeping romance sound the keynote key-note for Warner Bros.' newest film drama, "Her Kind of Man," which opens tonight at the Mario Theater. Co-starring a triumvirate of bright screen newcomers Dane Clark, Janis Paige and Zachary Scott it also features an important cast of supporting players, among them Faye Emerson, George Tobias, Howard Smith and Harry Har-ry Lewis. Based on an original story by Charles Hoffman and James V. Kern the screenplay, written by Gordon Kahn and Leopold Atlas, presents the exciting life of the late Twenties and early Thirties, just before Roosevelt went into office and prohibition went ul, when gamblers flourished flour-ished and high and dangerous living was the watchword of the day. Against this racy background, back-ground, "Her Kind of Man" depicts the stirring case history of a man who flaunted convention conven-tion and the woman who loved Weasku Inn. |
