Show Holland Evan Walker ROLLAND EVAN WALKER, 79, died June 6, 1982, at his home in Cedar City. He was born Nov. 9, 1902, in Frisco, Utah, to Joseph Arnold and Mary Ellen Jones Walker. He married Margaret Sherrett Aug. 12, 1925, in Parowan. The marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. Walker started at an early age working as a miner, starting in the mines at Eureka at 15 years of age. JJe also, wofied at (he Cedar City Iroff and Cbartfimes and also worked for the Cedar City Corporation on street maintenance for 10 years. He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as a high priest in the Cedar Third Ward. He loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of Cedar City; and two daughters and a son; Mary Barney of Kanab, Karon Lund of Cedar City and L.D. Walker of Washington, Utah. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.. imcU- a niece Lillian Petty of Murray. He was preceded in death by three children: David Roland, Barbara and LaDawna Robinson. Funeral services will be today at 1 p.m. in the Cedar Third LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Spilsbury & Graff Mortuary Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Cedar City Cemetary. In lieu ot flowers the family has suggested donations to the Primary Children' Hospital or the. Valley View Haelth Care Foundation. |
