Show Mass Polio Program Will Introduce " Grai Vaccine to Utah A mass polio immunization program using the new Sabin oral vaccine will be launched in Utah this fall by the Utah State Medical Association. Dr. Alan P. MacFarlane, Salt Lake City, chairman, announced the details of the program Thursday Thurs-day evening (July 19) during a meeting at the USMA offices, 42 South Fifth East, Salt Lake City. "In other states where the new oral vaccine has been used, the public response has been tremendous," tre-mendous," Dr. MacFarlane said. "We feel confident that we can duplicate this response in Utah." Under sponsorship of medical societies in various sections of the Btate, the new vaccine will be made available at clinics established es-tablished in pullc buildings. The clinics will be held on Sundays so that all members of the family may avail themselves of polio protection. Slogan for the program will be "SOS", which means Sabin Oral Sundays.
