Show Campaign Launched by Nonpartisan Committee for Ratification. The Women's Nonpartisan committee of the League of Nations for the state of Utah has been asked in a telegram from Mrs. J. Borden Harrlman, head of the national committee, to bring further pressure to bear on the Utah delegation In the United States senate before January Janu-ary S, to ratify the treaty of peace and the League of Nations covenant with or without reservations. The executive committee of Utah is arranging ar-ranging for an individual expression from the citizens of the state in the form of open letters of not more than 150 words, especially from those who have made a study of the subject of the topic "Should the League of Nations be adopted?: Why ?" The open letters, to be under i the'signature of the authors, may prop-! erly be addressed to the president of the j United States, Senator Henry C. Lodge or Senator Oscar Underwood, or to the Utah delegation in Washington. The letters let-ters must be sent to the Women's Nonpartisan Non-partisan committee, Hotel Utah, not later than January S. A separate contest for high school students stu-dents of the state has aiso been arranged, for which a cash prize of $nr will be given for the best essay on the same subject. A committee of judges will pass, on the merit s of the open letters of the students. stu-dents. All of them will be forwarded to their destination. These arrangements were made yesterday yester-day at a meeting of the executive committee, com-mittee, following t lie receipt of Mrs. George II. Home, chairman of the Utah branch, of the following telegram from Mrs. Harriman : "The Woman's Nonpartisan committee for the League of Nations is planning public dinners throughout the eountrv on January 8. with distinguished speakers. The object is to further press on the Senate to ratify trie treaty and covenant. Will you arrange to hold a dinner ri your ci t y on this date or as near it as possible?''
