Show SUGAR BEET GROWERS PLAN TO ORGANIZE Sugar beet growers of Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana are invited by the Intermountain Farmers' association to send delegates to the National Beet Growers' 'convention which will be held at Denver, Colo., for t hree days commencing com-mencing January 2 f. The meeting was called by the Intermountain association and the Equity Cooperative association of Montana acting in conjunction with nineteen other farmers' organizations of the country. The call for the convention states that "the hardships imposed upon the sugar beet growers of America by the sugar trust have been the result of disorganization disorganiza-tion among the producers." It is alleged also that the trust is endeavoring to "impel "im-pel the government to take action along lines which will discourage the development develop-ment of the Kinrar bp.et industry in this country by holding down the price of sugar su-gar beets below tiie actual cost of production." |
