Several have been let out from quarantine, and the public schools opened Monday morning with but about ono-fourth of the usual number of pupils In attendance many refusing to let their children attend at this time. Considerable discussion is Indulged In here on account of the schools being opened so soon, and the mayor, board of health und school trustees nil come In for censure for not waiting at least another week, when perhaps all danger of spreading this malignant disease would have been over. Others lake the stand that there Is no danger how so there you are. Of courso we all can't agree In this little city, but It Is to be hoped that tho disease Is Just about stamped out There Is going to be considerable Improvement made In our sidewalks during 1911, If plans now laid are carried out. There were but few from Fillmore who went over to Oasis to meet the educational and Industrial train there Monday. There may have been others, but we tailed to learn who they were. City Road Supervisor Rowley lias had constructed a good foot bridge Just west or the big bridge on lower Ma'n street.
