Monday evening the Domestic Science Department of the Millard Stake Academy, under the direction of Miss Kdlth Homer nerved banquet to about 80 persons members of the Local Commercial Club and townspeople. Tho occasion was the Farmers' Institute Insti-tute train on the Salt Lake Route. In the morning everybody went to Oasis and saw the exhibit and listened to the very Interesting talks from the visiting gentlemen. After the banquet ban-quet a prolitiible meeting was held In the Auditorium loom of the Avdeniy, after which the visitors were escorted back to the station. Many of the young people enjoyed a very pleasant dam trig party at leseret, the proceeds of which were for the benefit of the M. S. A. J. Albert Robison and Miss Katharine Kath-arine Woodhoiise of Fillmore spent a few days last week visiting friends and relatives In Hinckley. The Academy Orchestra, under the direction of Prof. Goo. O. Nye, furnished fur-nished the music for the dancers at the Gym last Friday evening. They proved themselves worthy and also showed the developments by training under an efficient and Interested director. |
