OCR Text	Hyde Park. Editor Republican: The good people In this little burg enjoyed themselves on New Year's day. In the forenoon ourband visited many of the prominent citizens and played excellent music which was highly appreciated, and Is commendable commend-able in the members of the band, who do a good deal of playing gratis. The children enjoyed themselves in dancing danc-ing during the afternoon. The Hyde Park Dramatic company played to a good house in the evening; Title of the play "Santiago. Some of the main actors were James S. and Jessie Hancey, George Z. Lamb, Rosel Hyde, Noah Wardle and James Martin. They with all the other actors did well. We appreciate your paper and hope you will continue to publish such matters that will be of interest to the people and maintain its present dignity as a clean up-to-date newspaper.
