Y., dispatch, dis-patch, Professor Carl Myers, a balloon mnker of Frankfurt, haB constructed an electrical aerial torpedo, which Is to bo exhibited at tho Louisiana Pur-chaso Pur-chaso exposition. Tho aerial torpedo flics like a thing of life, Is driven by two aluminum scrow blades, making 2,000 revolutions, and lotnted by nn electric motor which obntlns Its power from an ordinary Incandescent lighting current of 110 volts. The movements nro directed by two aeroplanes acting aB rudders, moving tho vessel up, down, right or leftf In circles, spirals or cylolds, as a bird flies. All theso evolutions aro under control of a distant dis-tant oporator, who moves nn Index" over contact points on a dial switchboard, switch-board, to which tho vessel Instantly responds. |
